The police have arrested a young man named Shanto Mia (18) in Dhunat Upazila of Bogra on the charge of raping a child student.
The arrested Shanto Mia is the son of Nazrul Islam Shahriar of the Jorshimul Purpopara area of Chikashi Union of Dhunat Upazila. He was handed over to Bogra court after his arrest on Tuesday (February 7) afternoon.
It is reported that on February 5, Shanto Mia killed the daughter of a person in the Jorshimul Purpurpara area of Dhunot Upazila of Bogra. When the neighbors came forward with the girl’s screams, Shanta Mia ran away.
In this regard, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhunat police station Rabiul Islam said that after filing a case at the police station, the accused youth was arrested and handed over to the Bogra court.
