Police arrested two drug dealers with ganja in Dhunat upazila of Bogra. They were arrested from Dhunat Sadarpara area on Monday (September 11) afternoon.
The arrested are Bulbuli Bewa (50), wife of deceased Siraj Mandal of Dhunat Sadarpara area and Abdul Mottaleb (35), son of deceased Mahfuzur Rahman of Shimul Dahir village of Kazipur upazila.
SI Shahidul Islam of Dhunot police station said, while staying at Dhunot zero point area on Monday afternoon, I got to know based on secret information that two persons are selling drugs in Dhunot Sadarpara area. When a raid was conducted there based on such news, two people were arrested while running away. Among them, 400 grams of ganja were recovered from Bulbuli Bewa and 100 grams of ganja from Abdul Mottaleb. A case has been filed against two people in this regard.
Rabiul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhunat Police Station, said that there are 9 drug cases against Bulbuli Bewa among the arrested accused. The arrested accused have been handed over to Bogra court on Monday.
