RAB-12 arrested 2 drug dealers with 155 bottles of Phensedyl in Bogra. They were arrested from the Matidali Biman Mor area under Sadar police station of Bogra district around midnight on Thursday.
The arrested are- Maruf Hossain Babu (25) son of Abdus Jabbar of the New Jummapara area under Kotyali police station of Rangpur district and Omar Farooq (40) son of Amjad Hossain of Palashbari School Para area of Bogra district headquarters.
In a press release on Friday, RAB said that 2 persons were carrying the narcotic drug Phensedyl on 1 motorcycle going from Rangpur to Bogra.
Based on this news, a team of RAB raided the paved road in front of Mahathir’s hotel and restaurant at Matidali Biman intersection under Sadar police station in Bogra district. Two drug dealers were arrested with 155 bottles of Phensedyl. A motorcycle, 3 mobiles, and 3 SIM cards used for transporting drugs were seized.
RAB-12 Bogra Camp Company Commander Superintendent of Police Mir Monir Hossain said that the arrested drug dealers have been handed over to the court after filing a case at Bogra Sadar Police Station.
